Breeding conditions:

Breeding conditions were favourable for colonial seabirds, as food supply was good. Reproductive success was only seriously influenced by illegal egg-collecting.

Summary of fauna studies:

Collected data characterize reproduction of colonial seabirds on Kharlov Island, and include information about brood size in Kittiwakes, reproductive success in Murres, numbers of breeding Gannets. Data on numbers of abundant colonial birds were also collected.
